Altered jewellery gift box
Here is a little altered gift box I made into a wall hanging shadow box. It was one of those ideas that just popped into my head when I had way to many projects on the go. I always seem to be working on at least 4 or 5 different things at once. Lol
The Antique hymn book I used the paper from was already ruined. I only use books that people would normally throw away.
Anyway I’ve listed it in my Etsy shop. Let me know what you think.

- Little gift box

- I cut out the front and glued it together

- Then I started adding layers of paper to the outside

- The paper is from an Antique Hymn book

- Adding the background paper

- A few coats of Polyurethane

- I used bead caps with head pins to make the hangers

- I used acrylic paint for the walls

- Bronze bird and Pewter praying hands

- I made a crystal chain with bronze key for the hands

- Put together with plastic covering the front

- See the shine from the plastic?

- I hung it from silver ribbon

- Then I made tassles from chain, charms and crystals
